Exercising Journey day one complete.
I set out to walk on the treadmill yesterday and I have succeded. It might not be much but its the start of the journey. As for how it went... I have my work cut out for me on this. I was able to do it just fine but I clearly needed to start sooner. I was soaked in sweat from this and it was just a walk not a run or anything extra intense. Also I had to pause a few times to refill my water. I thought 32 oz was going to be enough but I needed to have more than that. I got in 7280 steps though so that is going to be my baseline and what I should focus on beating. More steps and or a higher average speed for next week. I am going to keep at what I am at for this week to make sure I can keep at it.
There is so much information out there about exercising and lots of it seems conflicting. I read a few people saying that my plan for every day exercising might be too much and could cause problems while also seeing information that my plan is not enough... I am going to be honest with myself and trust how I feel and ignore the rest of the internet on this. There is one thing most people agree on and that is a diet. Though it seems that this is also filled with lots of conflicting thoughts such as what type of diet and what things are healthy. I not going to focus on a type of diet but I will be adding one to this journey. I counted my calories for the day and as I thought I was over a normal amount for someone my height and weight. I am using the health app on my phone to log things and get the baseline for how many calories I should have eaten. Baseline is 1600 and I had eaten 3000... I am not a nutritionist or anything like that but I don't think I will end up getting to my goals if I don't do a diet. I will add more to this later when I figure out exactly what I am going to do for a diet.
As for the weigh in I made a mistake that I should have thought about more before weighing myself yesterday. The first weigh in I was fully clothed and just eaten breakfast and drank 2 cups of coffee. I did not think about this when doing the picture I only thought about getting it ready for the blog and only after reading more fitness things understood that I should not have done it that way. I weighed myself again before going to bed and the results were around 5 lbs less... This seems like a lot of weight to lose in a day but I put my cloths back on and weighed again and it was only 1 lbs less. I will have to keep consitent on this weigh myself same time of day, morning before eating seems like the best time so I will be doing that and as long as I am consistent in wearing the same thing as well I should be fine.
