Oh the places you will chafe!

I finished the second day of my journey and started to have a problem... I did not think of the amount of sweat rubbing that was going to happen when I started on the treadmill. Its only day two of this and I am already having issues. Every good journey has to have a bit of a rough start. I am glad one of my kids is still young enough where I have plenty of things to take care of my chafing. If you are wondering balmex works awesome for chafing. Aside from the rough feeling the work out was fine. Slightly increased the step count from yesterday in the same amount of time so that is good.

I might get the weights cleaned off and ready to use sooner than I thought. After having to deal with the chafing I think adding a little bit of weights in would help with that. My thoughts on this would be to lift weights and cut down a bit on the treadmill at least until I lose enough weight where the chafing is not a problem.

Thinking about my diet and how I should approach that issue I am going to start out with just keeping with in the calorie count of the samsung health app. This will be 1600 callories a day, I should be able to keep with in that by not snacking and not having an extra big lunch. I don't drink sugar soda anymore but do have a coke zero here or there so I don't have to worry about cutting down on soda or other sugary drinks. I also have not had alcohol of any kind in years so I will not have to worry about cutting back on the beers either. Maybe next week I will feel a bit more like I need to eat healthier and not just cut back on the snacks we will see.

I can see why people say not to do a weigh in every day now and to look at weekly trends. The scale is not lying here but it is higher than yesterday and I kept my weigh in procedure the same my guess here is that I what I have eaten and not processed yet is accounting for the gain. Either way I am not going to focus on that detail at the moment I am going to focus on treands and keep at it.

I am off to continue the journey! Have a wonderful day and thank you for reading!
