Sometimes you just need something new.

I got my new shoes yesterday and it was exactly what I needed. I started out with a walk and then for 10 minutes I did a run. I ended up with no foot pain and it felt like my strides were better.  I am not one to buy expensive things these shoes were some random brand from Amazon. You dont need expensive things to get a journey going and I for sure was not going to buy 50 dollar shoes for just the treadmill. Now I can not comment on how long they will end up lasting but for now they are exactly what I needed to move forward. I felt good enough to run/jog at the end of the session for an extra 10 mintues so I think I will be switching up my approach and making the run part of the hour I have set aside for the treadmill. I not only got my step count up but I also got my heart rate higher and felt better after exercising than when I just walk. Lets hope I can keep it up and run each time.

As for adding weights, at this stage I am still going to wait a bit. I want to hit a weight of around 165 or so before I think about adding weights in. I think at around that weight my pants might start fitting if I squeeze my gut in and I do not want to lose progress on the treadmill by adding weights. Reading more about weight loss and exercising it might be around 1 month before I get close to that range. That is to safely keep the weight down. I am not going to do one of those extream diets where you drink kale or what ever. I am going to continue just exersising and eating a normal diet just keeping it under 1600 calloires a day.

The scale is still trending in the right direction. To clear up a point above all of the reading I have done on weight loss 10 lbs a month is the high end of what I can lose in a month with out having other issues. The other things most sites I have read said is that you lose water weight in the beginning of the journey so some of my loss might be water? I will be honest I am not linking the sites because I don't know how accurate they are but multiple sites have had simler info so I am going with it for now. I will see how this goes and if the trend still goes down or if I end up hitting a wall before 165 or so.

I am off to continue the journey! Have a wonderful day and thank you for reading!
