More BIke Riding even though its colder out.

I went on another bike ride today. It was a lot colder today than the other day but that was not going to stop me from going. I did a total of 16.58 miles and had an awesome time. I explored some parts of the trails that I have not seen before and I now know the end points of two of them. There is a whole network of trails in my area to explorer and it feels good to know that I have seen so much of them now. The way things are set up you do have to cross some streets to connect to the trails so there are a few stops along the way but that means its just a perfect time to rest.

This is what most of the trails looked like paved road but a little bumpy. This is perfect for my bike as it is more of a mountain bike than a road bike so bumps and things like that are fine.  The one down side of a bike that is more of a mountain bike is that it is a little slower than a road bike. I have bigger knobby tires that are meant for light dirt trails or single track type stuff and that ends up slowing me down when riding on roads. Its not that much but I did have plenty of road bikers pass me. That being said I also have not been biking in a long time so I am not as fast as I once was. I did not take any picutres of the more gravel or dirt sections but there are a few miles of dirt and gravel that were fairly slow to push through. Even though I only did 16 miles in an hour and a half I am happy with my ride.

I also prepared for it better than I thought I did. I put bike gloves in my backpack as well as a hoodie and forgot I had them in there from the last ride. I started to get cold while riding and thought I was going to have to turn around. The wind was the biggest problem when I was moving and the wind was hitting me I was much colder than if I were walking. Luckly I had that hoodie and gloves and they made the ride perfect.

I do want to comment on the picture for something not related to the bike ride. The lower left hand corner you can see the stars of an altered picture. I am not skilled enough in photoshop or the default photo editor on my phone to remove the location signs. I did not want to openly list the area I live in so I used the AI photo editor to remove the signs. I do NOT like AI photos or AI in general and would rather have used other methods to edit but it worked so well and was so simple to use. I don't know how the Samsung photo AI works but it does not seem like it is taking art from artist for a photo like this so I decided to go with it. I will not be posting AI art or anything like that I just wanted to remove the signs and going forward I think I am going to just get better a photoshop.

The results so far of the exercising journey as far as weight loss goes has been very good. I have lost weight and even though I thought I would lose more by now its still going down and my goal pants are fitting a little better but still not fitting right. I did change scales recently and I find the results of the body fat to be funny. The watch has me at 29 percent body fat but the scale has me at 23 percent body fat. Samsung health warned me about losing to much mass too quickly becuase of this.

'
As for which of these I am going to trust I am going to trust both of them. What do I mean by that you might ask well I never trusted that the watch was giving me 100 percent proper body fat percents so as long as the trend on both of them is going down then I am heading in the right direction. I am not going to keep posting both I just wanted to post it this one time to show that if I forget to properly log with my watch and post my weight and body fat percent with a 5-8 percent lower this is going to be the reason. Unless I lose 30 LB randomly overnight that is.

I am still looking to add a weight lifting rutine into this journey but for now I am sticking with losing the weight I need to lose before starting to lift. I am enjoy being outside and pushing my limits on my bike. I am going to start running outside and trying to get better times running than I have on my treadmil. Fresh air and wind will be nicer than a basement. I also ended up getting sucked into to buying the strava premium. I have 30 days to decided if it is something I want to keep paying for or not but so far the data points seem worth it,  if only I could get it for like 20 percent off or something it would make it a much better deal.

I am off to continue the journey! Have a wonderful day and thank you for reading!
