Staying on the Journey! Plus 100 Mile Ride Date.

 Staying on the Journey

I have been staying on the journey and have been keeping up with my cycling every day. Each day I have ben getting 15 miles of morning riding done. It has been getting colder in the morning but this has not stopped my from riding in shorts and t-shirt. Anyway I am getting the rides in preparing for the 100 mile ride that I have been planning for a while. Each morning ride I have been mostly just riding and then finishing the ride with out thinking about taking many photos or vlogging about it. I have been in a bit of a funk with life agian and my kids got me sick the past week again so its not be the best morning rides and I have not felt well enough to really focus on these things. I have no plans to stop blogging and will continue to take photos and still hoping to get some vlogging in there but for the next week I am just going to try to feel better.

As for where this journey is heading I am getting closer to the 100 mile ride where that is kind of an end point for my seasonal cycling where I will still be cycling but will start to focus on the winter training. This will be a lot of treadmill runing and weight lifting. I will then pick up the cycling again next season aside from some rides here and there in the winter for fun and to keep up the cycling gains I have gotten. I also have a triathlon in mind for next year that I think I will sign up for in the next few months when they allow early sign up. This will keep me motivated on staying on the journey.

100 Mile Ride

I have put a date down for my 100 mile ride. I will be heading out on October 7th for the 100 mile ride. I have this date in mind and I have a small route in mind but not a full one planned out yet. The normal ride I go on I can get 25 miles out of if I go the whole way and each trail and then I can get that to 35 if I go down one extra trail that is just down the street from the trails system I normally ride. After that I think my main thing would to ride the beach and go north on East Coast Greenway. I am thinking I will end up riding up from these extra trails and head up to Maine which should get me to around 60 miles or so for all of that and then head back down the beach and end up hitting the 100 miles somewhere close to my normal morning trail system. I would end up doing a few miles extra with this plan I think but I could also end up doing a few less if google maps is a bit off on the length of the beach rides. This route also has plenty of places I can stop for rest room breaks as well as places to get food. The only thing with some of this is I don't have a cycling computer and I dont want to take 12 hours to do this ride because of stopping every few miles to check a map. Either way I am thinking this will be fun even if I don't fully make it and have to end up coming back home sooner than 100 miles I will still end up with the most mile ride I have gone on.

As I said before I have not felt the best recently so I am going to continue end the update now and leave you with a trail cat. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day.
