Halloween and other updates.

A Halloween Ride


I have not been feeling the best but I bought a costume for a halloween ride and decided no matter what I was going wear it and take the kids on a bike ride. So Halloween came and I put on my horse outfit and got ready to ride. It was also 78 degrees fahrenheit out so a horse costume with hood over the helmet was a very warm choice. It was such a good ride even if I was over heating and needed to shower the second I got home. On the ride I got a lot of laughs and a few people that said that was a fun costume idea so it was worth it. This was the kind of thing I needed to help me get back into my grove of the journey. It did not fix the depression feelings but made me feel a lot better about everything and my heart rate was not through the roof. This ride was a ton of fun to do and I would ride again next year hopefully to get more people to laugh at me being silly. 


After Halloween Exercising

So I like Halloween and my kids find the costumes fun so I made sure to buy candy to give out to the other kids in the town as well as we planned on going out for a bit as well. We ended up not going out very much so we stayed home to pass out the candy I purchased. We got a total of 3 trick or treaters this year and I bought the candy I like... Yesterday I ended up eating a whole bag of butterfingers and feeling awful about it after I saw that I ate the whole bag. I was down to 138 a few weeks ago and due to the depression feelings and over eating I am back up to 148 today. A whole bag of butter fingers was not going to help with this. I will say they were the best butterfingers I have had in a long time but that is because I was dieting for a while so any candy was the best I have had in a while. Now that there are no more butterfingers in the house I just have to deal with all the reese's cups and there will be no more of my favorite candy in the house. 

With the butterfingers and the awesome ride I had on Halloween I decided to get on my bike again today and not go for a walk in the morning. I was able to ride with out my heart rate going far too high and it was a very nice ride. It was only 50 degrees out so it was cold enough to over heat with a hoodie on but perfect with short sleeve shirt. I wish I got more photos of the ride as it was still very pretty out but I wanted to get the ride done as I was having a good ride. 


I think I am excited to keep riding again and I needed just a few days away from riding to get back into the grove of riding. I am not sure what why the past few weeks riding caused my heart rate to spike to crazy high levels so I will have to keep an eye on that but for now I feel like me agian. 

The Journey and Winter

So the winter is aproaching and I have had some plans for what I want to get done over the winter but I think I am going to refine those plans and get something more concrete about what my goals are and what I am going to do with the blog over this time. I want to make sure that I have some goals that I am able to talk about and show of some kind of progress and I still have the treadmill so the main plans are going to revolve around that and weight lifting but I am not sure what the main goals are going to be right now. I want to get the triathlon done in the summer so that might be the main goal to be able to get my running speed and distance fast enough to do a triathlon.
