Cycling in the cold and the snow! Also a update on the journey.

Cycling in the Cold! For the past few weeks I have been cycling in the cold each morning. Its so much harder to get started when you wake up and its cold in the house and its dark outside. I was also having a hard time getting back into the full swing of cycling becuase of stopping for a little bit at the start December. With all of that I have been getting up and cycling every morning again. The set up is a little different than when I was cycling in the sping or summer but I am still doing it in normal clothing. I am not going to spend money on special clothing just for cycling and that might sound silly becuase the cycling gear is designed better than standard clothing but to me I get by just fine so I wont spend the money on it. I have a winter jacket that I do not want to get all smelly by sweating in it each morning so I have a layered set up using a cheap hoodie and a windbreaker jacket. I also did buy a 4 pack of neck gaiters to cover my face as I ride and a cheap und...

Ozark Trail Fat Bike, Thoughs and review

Image
Ozark Trail Fat Bike Thoughts  I was looking for a bike to keep riding while there is snow and ice on the ground and as I was looking at bikes Walmart offered a fat tire bike in their line of Ozark Trail bikes. It is priced right around the same as the Ozark Trail Ridge but from the images I as on the site I knew there were some major differences in the quality of the two bikes. I know that the two bikes are not directly comparable but the G.1 explorer and the Ridge have a lot of the same stuff that make them good so I was hoping to see a few more things on this bike. That being said with out going through the whole review I looked at other fat tire bikes in the same price range and figured it was better than them so I bought it.  The set up was not as good as prior Ozark Trail bikes. I don't know if this bike has a proper name from Walmart because they listed it as fat tire bike and the box reads fat tire bike but the bike itself has M.3 Ranger on it so it might be the Ozark ...

New Year's Resolutions and the reason I hate them.

Happy New Year! It is that time of year again where its a new year so you hear all about new year's resolutions. I hate new year's resultions. Making changes in the new year to better yourself is a good thing and I think people should always look to improve their lives even if just a little. You might wonder how I could hate something that I think is a good idea and the answer to why I hate them is simple. Every time I made a reslution in the past for new year's or I hear others talk about theirs they are lofty and pie in the sky things. Example for this is one of my friends this year made a reslution to go to the gym every day before they go to work this year. That type of goal is so overwhelming and lofty that it is not something they will be able to do and the faillure of reaching the goal a few times will deflate them and make it so they end up not changing anything in the slightest. To be clear I hope they make their goal for going to the gym every day before work its...
